Echoes of the Sea was a collaborative process between international artists and crafts practitioners. Together they worked as a team to produce fifteen figurative sculptures for a creative installation placed at Sevkable Port on the Gulf of Finland.

The project was part of the British Council Creative Commissions programme that brings together art, science and digital technology, and offers innovative, interdisciplinary and collaborative responses to climate change. It was awarded to Essex Cultural Diversity Project supporting collaborative partnerships with artists and professionals internationally, to create an exhibition and seminar, which engaged audiences with issues related to climate change and coastal erosion.
