Essex born film producer Rehmat Rayatt has been successful for New Creatives film and audio commission.

New Creatives is an exciting new talent development scheme that offers commissioning opportunities for emerging artists to create new artworks in film, audio or interactive media, designed for BBC platforms. Screen South is running the New Creatives project for the South East region.

“I’m delighted to have been chosen for the New Creatives programme, a partnership between Screen South, Arts Council and BBC Arts. I will be developing my practice further for this commission, building on recent work and challenging myself to create inspiring and thought provoking visual media. I can’t wait to begin! I am very thankful for Essex Cultural Diversity Project, a network partner in the New Creative, for sign-posting me towards this talent development scheme.” Rehmat Rayatt
