As part of Brentwood International Cultural Festival, libraries in and around Brentwood have been hosting our pop-up exhibition about the Indian Princess in Essex.

Did you know there is an Indian Princess buried in Doddinghurst? This is all part of Brentwood’s rich cultural heritage! Find out more about Princess Helen Rundeer Singh Alhuwalia of Karpurthla, and the Punjabi heritage on your doorstep, in this special pop-up exhibition curated by Simran Bance.

The Brentwood International Cultural Festival 2025 is a month-long celebration of the international communities that contribute to the rich fabric of Brentwood.
