Information for attendees

  • The main entrance to Global Village is inside the park, near to the Eastwood Road and Websters Way car park entrances
  • Please TRAVEL GREEN if you can – walk, ride, use public or hired transport or lift share where possible
  • Parking is available in Websters Way car park which is free after 1pm on Saturdays
  • Disabled parking spaces are available, please familiarise yourself before you travel at rochford.gov.uk/websters-way-car-park
  • Global Village is a family event for people of all ages and we promote an inclusive and tolerant approach towards people of all backgrounds
  • Please note this is a free event – to make your experience comfortable we are limited in capacity, so please arrive early to avoid the disappointment of not getting in
  • You are welcome to bring a picnic, but soft drinks must be in unbroken sealed containers (strictly no alcohol or glassware)
  • For legal reasons only alcohol served at the licensed bar will be allowed at the event
  • For your safety and the safety of others attending the event, bag searches will be in place by trained security guards
  • Food vendors – Caribbean and Indian food
  • Bar available – selling a range of alcoholic drinks
  • All facilities take card payments
  • Please feel free to bring chairs or blankets for your comfort and prepare for the great British weather – Please bring waterproofs just in case and bring sunscreen if the forecast is looking good
  • Due to the nature of the event most customers sit down and enjoy the event from chairs. Gazebos/tents are not permitted – these are a wind risk and can cause issues with audience members trying to view the stage
  • If you leave the event for a genuine reason, please inform security and they will give you a stamp to re enter. If you do leave without a good reason, you may be required to queue to get back in again
  • In this busy and loud environment, we do not recommend bringing dogs to the event. Trained service and assistance dogs are welcome
