Global Village Rochford

Global Village regularly tours the East of England, bringing an explosion of colour from all corners of the world. This Autumn Global Village was hosted by the Freight House, a beautifully restored former British Rail goods shed in the centre of Rochford, Essex.

There was. lots to see throughout the afternoon, including Giddha female Punjabi dance with the Saheli Group; traditional dance and music from Molodova and Romania with Vedance Studio; storytelling from Sierra Leone with Usifu Jalloh; a Bollywood Dance class with Jaymini Nakum; a djembe drumming workshop with Samantha Everitt; as well as dance, entertainment and music from Southend Tamil School, Southend Sivan Kovil and the newly opened Rochford Hindu Temple.
