Anglo Sikh Virtual Museum at Ancient House

Friday 1 Jul 2022 - Sunday 10 Jul 2022
Anglo Sikh Virtual Museum at Ancient House
For the Festival of East Anglia & Punjab, Sikh Museum Initiative will be bringing the Anglo Sikh Virtual Museum to Ancient House. This is an amazing interactive digital exhibition, which for the first time brings together Sikh artefacts from collections around the world, for all to explore and handle digitally through a large plasma screen. Relics include the famous Koh-i-Noor diamond, Sikh armour and swords, manuscripts, medals and flags. https://www.anglosikhmuseum.com/relics/

Here’s a taster of the some of the digital artefacts that will be on show, which you can ‘handle’ on a large plasma screen:

  • Venue: Ancient House Museum of Thetford Life, White Hart Street, Thetford, IP24 1AA

This exhibition is part of the Festival of East Anglia & Punjab taking place in venues across Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk 1-10 July 2022. The Festival of East Anglia & Punjab explores the cultural links between the two regions through the story and legacy of Maharajah Duleep Singh and the last royal family of the Punjab, who lived in Norfolk.
