To Lavenham with Love: Creative Workshops for All

Nestled in the heart of Suffolk in the picturesque village of Lavenham, Lavenham Guildhall is known for its stunning medieval architecture, vibrant history and a community that thrives on connection. However, as with many small towns, the winds of change are blowing and the question the Community and the National Trust ask is: how do we preserve the heritage and relevance of the Guildhall while embracing the future?
To Lavenham with Love emerges from this very question; commissioned by The National Trust and Essex Cultural Diversity Project, The Cultural Assembly has been tasked to seek answers and ideas by inviting residents and all who have visited the Guildhall to contribute to a narrative that is as rich as the village and Guildhall itself.
The Cultural Assembly are offering free in-person and online creative workshops for everyone, young and old, seasoned artists and budding creators to take part in a series of dynamic workshops for the To Lavenham with Love project. Whether it’s through poetry, art or personal anecdotes, each contribution you make will weave together the fabric of Lavenham’s story.
