Featuring Casualty of War: A Portrait of Maharajah Duleep Singh

A new exhibition highlighting the story of Duleep Singh and his family, launched as part of the Festival of Thetford & Punjab at Ancient House. Find out about the museum’s connections with the last Maharajah of the Punjab, and see the Casualty of War portrait by the renowned Contemporary British artists, The Singh Twins. This beautiful painting is on loan from National Museums Scotland especially for the Festival, and captures the story of Maharajah Duleep Singh as the last ruler of the Sikh Empire, deposed from the throne and exiled to Britain.
